Facilities: Completion of Olympic stadiums and venues
The 37 venues for the Olympic Games have all been finished

Commitment: Beijing will use 37 venues for Olympic competitions. Of these, 22 will be newly constructed (three of them are outside of Beijing), five will be renovated and expanded, and 10 are existing stadiums.

Current status quo: The 37 venues for the Olympic Games have all been finished, and passed a series of tests during the "Good Luck Beijing" event conducted in 2007, which aimed to test the functions of facilities, technical systems, and command systems of these venue facilities.

For the sake of utilization of stadiums after the Olympic Games, Beijing has made some big adjustments for the stadiums' construction scale, allocation and investment. The number of stadiums in Beijing has been reduced from 32 to 31. Of which, the newly constructed venues cut from 19 to 12, venues to be renovated and expanded rose from five to 11, and eight temporary venues were added from zero.
