In the U.S. midterm elections held on November 7, Democrats won the majority of seats in both the Senate and the House of Representatives, which may put the Bush administration in a more difficult position in the remaining two years of the president's term, as Democrats will push for different foreign and domestic policies. After 12 years, the Democrats finally regained control of the House of Representatives.
