China Customs Speeds Clearance of 510 Quake Relief Shipments

Customs offices nationwide had implemented expedited advance clearance for 510 shipments of quake relief materials and rescue personnel as of 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, the General Administration of Customs said.

These included 344 shipments of disaster relief materials, medical personnel and rescuers from 51 countries and regions including Russia, the Republic of Korea, Pakistan, Singapore, Spain and Japan.

Another 166 shipments contained medicine, tent, blanket, water-purify equipment, glove and other necessities.
