The 20-year-old Tibetan student Gurmey was among the first children to be educated in Tibet school for the blind in 1999 and the first visually impaired student to be admitted by Tibet University, a comprehensive university, having passed China's college admission exam or gaokao in 2015. Gurmey said that he hoped to be a teacher and open a bookshop for the blind to help more blind children acquire knowledge (XINHUA)
