Key Deals Signed during Xi's Tour of Europe

During his four-nation tour of Europe, President Xi signed a number of agreements covering wide range of areas.

China's dairy industry is set to receive expertise from the Netherlands, the two countries having signed a deal allowing Dutch experts to help China increase its annual milk production to 40 billion kg. A food security system will be jointly built by Yili Group, one of China's largest dairy producers, and Wageningen University.

China and France signed agreements worth 18 billion euros. This included the purchase of 70 airbus planes from France. The two countries will also produce 1,000 civilian helicopters over 20 years.

During Xi's visit in Germany, the car company Daimler signed deals with Beijing Automotive Industry Corporation to expand the production capacity in Beijing. The two countries' central banks also inked an agreement, allowing yuan-dominated payments to be cleared and settled in Frankfurt. During the visit in Brussels, China and EU agreed to accelerate the talks on Free Trade Pact, increase bilateral trade and investment.
