President Xi Jinping has held talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin ahead of the G20 summit.
The two leaders discussed strategic coordination on international and regional affairs, the Syria crisis and efforts to combat flooding in the northeast of China and Russia's Far East. They also discussed cooperation on large-scale projects.
China and Russia have their improved relations over the past 20 years, with bilateral trade reaching a record high of $80 billion last year. They aim to boost that to $100 billion by 2015 and $200 billion by 2020. (CNTV.cn September 5, 2013) |
