The Peace Mission-2013 China-Russia joint drill has ended in Russia.
The last day's drill featured simulated combat with actual troops. More than a thousand military officers and soldiers from both sides took part in the combat at Chelyabinsk in Russia's Ural Mountains.
Mixed units from both countries' air forces, artillery divisions, armored tanks and special forces fought so-called "terrorists" during the exercise. This year's Peace Mission drill is the sixth of its kind since 2003.
Peace Mission-2013 was divided into three phases - troop deployment, battle planning and simulated combat. They aimed to familiarize Chinese and Russian soldiers with training range and anti-terrorist exercises.
The joint drill began on July 27.
