China Wins Sudirman Cup against South Korea

Badminton, now, and China has successfully defended its title at the 2013 Sudirmen Cup Final, which has just ended in the Malaysian capital.

The final was a clash between two traditional Asian badminton powerhouses, China and South Korea. But what was expected to be a close match turned out to be a little bit one-sided.

To the surprise of many fans, most of China's line-up was composed of young and relatively unknown players. China's Olympic champion pair Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng were rested on the bench. But these young players were fearless and totally relaxed.

The dominance was established right at the beginning of the final in the mixed doubles. After the Chinese pair Xu Chen and Ma Jin took the mixed doubles 2-love, their teammates proved to be unstoppable.

Cheng Long as well as Liu Xiaolong and Qiu Zihan defeated their South Korean adversary in the men's singles and men's doubles in the same manner, securing China's fifth consecutive title at the world's most prestigious mixed group tournament.
