Lang Ping Runs First Training Session

Lang Ping, the new coach of the Chinese women's volleyball team, held her first training session since being re-appointed as the head of the squad. The legendary former player putting the team through their paces in Beijing.

Lang looked excited when she arrived at the training center. During the four hour practice, the 1984 olympic gold medalist instructed her team in defending and teamwork.

Wang Yimei, Zhang Xian and six others with Olympic experience were among the 23 players at the training session. The first game for the national team with Lang at the helm will be a tournament in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province on May 17.
