China's growing number of micro-bloggers are becoming a force to be reckoned with in exposing abuses of power. Weibo, China's equivalent of Twitter or Facebook, is the main weapon of choice in fighting corruption and official misdeeds often with uncanny speed, and a wealth of details.
The former Deputy Editor-in-Chief at the International Business Daily Wang Xuewen shares his views on this issue.
Q1. What's your view on the ways corruption cases are brought to light these days, for example using Weibo to expose corruption?
Q2. There are key problems that need to be addressed in the current system, like insufficient checks, lack of a transparent and independent judiciary and media. The Central Government has made clear its resolution to fight corruption. So what specific measures can we expect from the new leadership?
