Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao has held talks with the South Korean President Lee Myung-bak and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the sidelines of the 21st ASEAN Summit in Cambodia.
Wen and Lee agreed the two countries have made an effort to enhance mutual trust and cooperation, and maintain the stability and development in the region. Wen said strengthening bilateral cooperation is conducive to maintain economic growth of both sides and to the early recovery of world. The two should accelerate talks on bilateral Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
Lee said South Korea highly applauded China's economic achievement under the current world economic environment, and the country is willing to enhance cooperation with China, to promote FTA and to promote regional cooperation. He congratulated the Communist Party of China (CPC) on the successful completion of the 18th CPC National Congress, and expressed his desire of a good cooperation with China's new leadership.
