China has issued a thematic map on the Diaoyu Island and its affiliated islets. The National Administration of Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation said the map has been compiled and issued by the SinoMaps Press.

Experts say this is China's most detailed and precise map on Diaoyu Islands. The map not only completely marks the positional relationship of the Diaoyu Islands with the Chinese mainland and Taiwan, but also accurately marks the baselines of the island and the names and geographic coordinates of its 71 affiliated islands. The largest scale of the map is 1 to 6,000. Depth contour lines and the islands' vegetation can be seen clearly.
