Expo Treasure Displayed in Hong Kong

One of the most treasured pieces of art from the 2010 Shanghai World Expo is the animated duplicate of the painting -- Along the River During the Qingming Festival. Now, Hong Kong residents who did not make it to Shanghai, can catch a glimpse of this impressive piece.

The duplicate extends 120 meters in length and 6.5 meters in width. All the people and animals in this masterpiece are moving and talking to each other. It seems as if the living souls from the Song Dynasty (960-1279) have been brought back to life.

The announcement of the show which will open on November 9 is garnering plenty of attention from people in Hong Kong and neighboring Guangdong Province. Some 700,000 tickets were up for grabs and they were sold in just a few days. The show runs till Novemeber 29.
