A group of 192 Chinese workers and engineers who had been trapped in flood-hit Pakistan back home on August 7.
A charter flight took them to Urumqi, in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. After a brief stay, they will fly to their home towns in Henan, Shandong and Sichuan provinces.
A total of 268 Chinese workers at a hydro-power station project in a northwest province of Pakistan were trapped on a mountain as a huge landslide hit their work site on July 29. Among others, 265 were safely evacuated, but three workers were missing. Fourteen Chinese engineers stayed behind to take care of the flood-ravaged project and 59 workers are still awaiting other travel arrangements in Islamabad.
