China to Attend 2012 World Expo in South Korea

China will participate in the 2012 World Expo at Yeosu in South Korea. China's Council for the Promotion of International Trade, or CCPIT accepted an invitation on Thursday.

CCPIT Director Wan Jifei confirmed China's attendance at the 2012 World Expo.

Wan Jifei, Director of China's Council for the Promotion of International Trade said "The government of the People's Republic of China has decided to accept the invitation to participate in the 2012 World Expo in Yeosu, South Korea. China's Council for the Promotion of International Trade will be the organizer of the China Exhibition Hall."

The 2012 World Expo in Yeosu will focus on sustainable development of humans and marine resources. The event will be held from May 12th to August 12th in 2012.

Wan Jifei hopes the 2010 Shanghai Expo and the 2012 Yeosu Expo will provide a platform for China and South Korea. Both countries aim to learn from each other and enhance mutual cooperation.
