China-U.S. JCCT Concludes

China and the United States have signed 11 agreements as this year's China-U.S. Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade came to an end in Hangzhou.

Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan and U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke, Trade Representative Ron Kirk and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack witnessed the signing ceremony.

Nine are government deals covering sectors ranging from clean energy, investment, tourism to aviation. The two others are corporate agreements on natural gas and bio fuel between energy firms.

This is the first meeting of the JCCT since President Barack Obama took office. The meeting has been considered important to paving the way for significant improvements in economic and trade ties.
