About CIFIT

The China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), approved by the State Council of the People's Republic of China, takes place on September 8-11 every year in Xiamen, Fujian Province.

With the themes of "Introducing FDI" and "Going Global," CIFIT focuses on investment negotiation and promotion, coordinated development of the national and regional economy, and economic and trade exchanges across the Taiwan Straits. CIFIT is currently China's only international investment promotion event aimed at facilitating bilateral investment. It is also the only global investment event approved by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI).

CIFIT has the following major contents: investment and trade exhibition, the International Investment Forum and serial seminars on hot investment issues, and investment project matchmaking symposia. CIFIT not only comprehensively showcases the investment environments, investment policies, investment projects and corporate products in all Chinese provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government, but also attracts investment promotion agencies from dozens of countries and regions to conduct investment briefings. CIFIT gives business people at home and abroad a bird's-eye-view of the investment climate in China and other countries and provides one-stop service for multilateral investment cooperation, thereby helping them select from the widest range of investment projects and business partners.

"I think it presents an image of a reformed and opened-up China, and conveys the desire for world economic cooperation and harmonious development," said Pascal Lamy, Director-General of the World Trade Organization. "It will help the mutual opening up and development of different economies in the world. This is why so many international economic organizations are joining CIFIT."
