Foreigners in Nanjing Celebrate Chinese Culture

Chinese culture is celebrated not only by the Chinese people, but also by people from around the world. In the city of Nanjing of east China's Jiangsu Province, visitors from overseas got together recently for a talent show. And they impressed the audience with their performances that were full of Chinese characteristics.

Over twenty overseas students from 13 countries took the stage at a theater in Nanjing. They entertained the packed house with a variety of performances, including singing, dancing and sketches.

This brother and sister came to China to study the Chinese language two years ago. Their mother is British and their father is a Hong Kong resident. The two say that since they were children they have always felt a strong connection to Chinese culture.

Overseas student Luo Nianguo said, "My father grew up in Britain. But he missed his home country China very much, especially when I was born. That's why I was named Nian Guo, which means "missing my home country". "

Kungfu is also a favorite of this group of foreigners. This young man performing Kungfu is from Venezuela. He came to China at the age of 18, four years ago. And he says that Bruce Lee is his icon.
