A group of 24 foreign tourists, quarantined in Tibet after one member being suspected of having A/H1N1 influenza since last Saturday, started their tour in Tibet on Thursday.
The suspect, an Italian tourist, was found to have a fever of 38.5 degrees Celsius and symptoms of a sore throat, stuffy nose and sweating at entry into Zham town, Xigaze, last Saturday and was then sent to the hospital. The 23 other tourists remained under medical observation in Caiyuan Hotel since then. Tibet Autonomous Region lifted the quarantine on the Italian tourist, previously suspected of having A/H1N1 influenza, was confirmed to have just an "seasonal flu" and lifted the quarantine Wednesday.

Members of the tour group were from 12 countries including the United States, Germany, France, U.K., Italy, Denmark, Japan, Ukraine, Australia and Singapore.
During their first day tour, they chose Xigaze region, one of the hottest tourist areas in Tibet, as their first stop, and paid visits to ancient temple relics including Tashihunpo Monastery and Parlkor Monastery Thursday.
