Basic Facts About G20

The Group of 20 or G20, was founded in 1999 as a way to facilitate dialogue between major industrial and emerging-market countries on key issues related to global economic stability

According to the G20 website, the international forum is made up of finance ministers and central bank governors representing 19 countries and the European Union.

They represent two-thirds of the world's population and 80 percent of world trade.

The International Monetary Fund and World Bank also participate.

Throughout its history, the G20 has dealt with policies for growth, reducing abuse of the financial system and financial crises,

The Group of 20 are currently meeting in London. They are trying quote "to come up with goals to stabilize the financial system and to lay foundations for sustainable recovery."
