China's 'Golden Rooster and Full Blossom Film Festival' Open
 

China's "Golden Rooster and Full Blossom Film Festival" opened in the north China seaport of Dalian, Wednesday night. The annual event holds high prestige among Chinese people. Award winners are chosen by the audience at large.

China's "Golden Rooster and Full Blossom Film Festival" opened in the north China seaport of Dalian, Wednesday night.

Domestic films like "The Assembly", "The Knot", "Crazy Stone", "A Hope" and "Tokyo Trial" are in this year's competition. The "Golden Rooster and Full Blossom Film Festival" also includes programs to promote domestically produced films.

Screening are scheduled for more than 80 domestic and foreign films. A separate section is dedicated to films from Taiwan and Hong Kong. A forum and several press conferences are scheduled. This year's awards ceremony will be held on Saturday.
