Senior Leader Highlights Role of Political Consultation
Share

Senior leader Yu Zhengsheng called for enhanced work ability of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on July 16, China's political advisory body.

Yu, Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, made the remarks during a seminar where local political advisors exchanged their work experience. The meeting was held in Beijing from July 15-16.

Political advisors must unwaveringly uphold the Party's leadership, strengthen confidence in socialism with Chinese characteristics, and vigorously bring constructive suggestions to improve the country's social development, Yu said.

Local political advisory organs should draw experience from daily practice, bring about innovative solutions and seriously implement the decisions made by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Yu said.

Yu, also a Standing Committee member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, required all political advisors to bear in mind "three stricts and three honests"a series of requirements for officials to improve their life and work style, so as to build a clean and honest administration.
