Government Work Report Revised
Share

The State Council has made revisions to the government work report that will be put for voting at the annual parliamentary session, which is to close on Thursday.

According to the secretariat for the second session of the 12th National People's Congress (NPC), the revisions were made after the report was reviewed by the NPC deputies and discussed by members of the 12th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee.

Amid the 16 revisions, "to promote the use of new energy vehicle" has been added to propel the industry's development in an effort to preserve energy and cut emissions, as well as prevent and control air pollution.

Others include "to attach importance to scientific popularization and construction of scientific spirit," "to build a harmonious doctor-patient relationship" and "to cultivate a new type of professional farmers."

A total of 468 motions have been submitted to the country's top legislature this year, according to the third meeting of the presidium of the second session of the 12th NPC.
