Share

The Organization Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee has pledged more scientific measures to select leading officials for Party and government departments.

With the revised regulation on selection and appointment of leading officials of Party and government agencies, the nation's official selection system will be honed to be scientific, effective and easy to put into practice, said a statement issued by the department on Thursday.

The revised regulation was published by the CPC Central Committee on Wednesday to replace an old version from 2002, placing greater emphasis on the moral integrity of officials and proper selection procedures.

The new regulation is expected to prevent and solve problems in this regard at the root and ensure that capable officials get promoted and appointed to the proper positions, according to the statement.

Moreover, the revision stressed the principle of the CPC governing officials, the Party's supervision over official selection as well as officials' integrity of ideology and faith, the statement noted.
