Acclaimed Chinese soprano Song Zuying is embarking on a concert tour of the United States. Her New York concert, together with the American Symphony Orchestra and its chorus, will be held at the Radio City Music Hall on the night of February 16.

Song's concert is a part of the annual "Cultures of China, Festival of Spring" event, which is organized by the Overseas Exchange Association of China and co-organized by the Asian Culture and Media Group USA. Since 2009, many elite art troupes have performed to help promote Chinese culture and celebrate the traditional Spring Festival, which begins Feburary 10 this year.

Widely considered the "reigning queen" of Chinese folk songs, Song is one of the most renowned musical artists in China. She has given solo performances at Sydney Opera House in 2002, the Vienna Golden Hall in 2004, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in 2008, and London's Royal Albert Hall in 2012. She also performed a duet at the closing ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympics with tenor Plácido Domingo.

Song is the second Chinese national to win a Gold Art Award from the Kennedy Center. In addition, The Diva Goes to the Movies: a Centennial Celebration of Chinese Film Song was nominated for Best Classical Crossover Album at the 2006 Grammy Awards.
