Chinese Navy Peace Ark hospital ship arrives in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, on November 8 (XINHUA)

(XINHUA)

Brigadier General Kenrick Maharaj, Acting Chief of Defense Staff of Trinidad and Tobago, visits the Chinese Navy Peace Ark hospital ship on November 8 in Port of Spain, capital of the Caribbean country.

The Chinese hospital ship will make a seven-day medical services in the country. It is the third leg of the ship's four-nation goodwill visit to the Caribbean and Central America, which also includes Cuba, Jamaica and Costa Rica.

Led by Rear Admiral Qiu Yanpeng, Deputy Commander of East China Sea Fleet, the hospital ship departed from east China's Zhejiang Province on September 16 and is expected to sail for 105 days, traveling over 23,500 nautical miles.
