Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao visits the Tagore International School in New Delhi, India, on December 15.
He spoke highly of the school for taking an active role in Sino-Indian youth exchanges and presented the school with Chinese language learning textbooks and a piece of calligraphy by him. Student representatives talked about their experience in learning about the Chinese language and culture. In 2011 Chinese language will be listed as one of the school's curriculum subjects.
Wen travelled to India for his official visit, the second as premier.
The visit included talks with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and President Prabtibha Patil and celebrative events marking the 60th anniversary of the establishment of China-India diplomatic ties. |
