Chinese nationals depart a chartered plane from Kyrgyzstan as they arrive at an airport in Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, on June 16.
China has evacuated 1,300 nationals from Kyrgyzstan where ethnic clashes since June 10 have left at least 187 people dead, the Foreign Ministry said on June 17. Nine sorties of chartered flight participated in the three-day airlift operation.
In the meantime, China has offered emergency humanitarian aid to Kyrgyzstan, including medicine, medical equipment, food, drinking water, blankets and tents worth $732,064.
The Foreign Ministry said the assistance was offered in order to promote a return to order as soon as possible in Kyrgyzstan.
