
Attendants from the Tianjin-Beijing high-speed railway service donate money for China's drought-hit southwestern region on March 30.
People from various backgrounds have generously donated money to buy daily necessities for drought victims and aid relief efforts. Many people have also donated large quantities of bottled water.
More than 50 million people in southwest China have been affected by the worst drought in a century. Dry weather, which has gripped the vast region since last autumn, will likely continue until May, as no substantial rainfall is expected ahead of the rainy season.
