As an equity investment fund, it aims to support Chinese enterprises in expanding their investments in African countries and has so far established strategic relations with more than 10 major enterprises in China.

Luxury Car Recalls

Mercedes-Benz China is recalling 22 vehicles sold in China that could have incorrect software calibration number (SCN) coding from recent visits to workshops, said China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine on September 5.

A temporary error in the company's online central system for its local workshops sent incorrect codes to part of online applications from April 15 to 17 and June 5 to 10.

The error has caused various problems in different automobile models. For instance, the incorrect codes could disable the shutdown of the fuel pump during a car crash. Other problems included ineffective maximum speed control and fuel gauge readings.

Investment Matchmaker

The 12th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) convened in Xiamen, east China's Fujian Province, from September 8 to 11.

According to the CIFIT organizing committee, 445 foreign organizations from 104 countries and regions attended the fair. The fair hosted more than 10 matchmaking symposia and featured eight highlights including an African commodities exhibition, a forum on China's property rights market and an Asia-Oceania regional software summit.
