Residents in southeast China's Fujian Province struggle to return to normal life after torrential rains caused by typhoon Fung Wong flooded their homes.

Fung Wong, the eighth tropical storm to hit China this year, swept through the country's eastern coast after landing in Fujian on July 28, forcing 751,600 people to be evacuated in affected areas and incurring economic losses topping 1 billion yuan ($142 million).

Subsequent disasters had also killed five people and left four missing in Jiangsu and Guangdong provinces up to July 30.
