Soldiers break into a house occupied by terrorists, and quickly neutralize the situation. This was part of the "Peace Mission 2007" antiterror drill concluded in Chelyabinsk, Russia on August 17.

From August 6-17, three joint military exercises were successfully conducted with 4,000 troops and 80 aircraft from member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization, founded in 2001, groups China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, and this first full-membership drill took place to attack terrorism and help prepare for and maintain regional peace and stability.

Inset: Chinese Minister of Defense Cao Gangchuan rewards military personnel who were outstanding during the drill.
