A caravan road show launched by Shanghai government's Information Office and Shanghai Disabled Persons' Federation, under the theme of "approaching and supporting Special Olympics", bombarded a community center at the Second Ruijin Road, in downtown Luwan District, Shanghai, on Tuesday.
Mentally handicapped students Lu You and Bao Jiahui perform a Latin dance.
With passionate Latin and other dances accompanied by rhythmic percussion beats, the caravan road show attracted many local residents and high school students. Those from several special needs schools and members of a "Home of Sunshine" center also brought wonderful performances before the audience.
Athletes for the Special Olympics also sang songs and gave a live dragon dance.
The show came to its climax when Zhou Baomei, designer of the emblem of the upcoming Shanghai Special Olympics, posed on stage with her mentally handicapped students, highlighting the theme of the 2007 Special Olympics Summer Games, "I know I can".

A mentally handicapped child wins cheers for her wonderful performance.
