Share

The first Chinese 3D animation film Boonie Bears is to hit mainland screens before the Spring Festival which falls on January 31.

Jointly produced by Fantawild Animation Inc., Mr. Cartoon Pictures, LEVP and Zhujiang Film, the story centres around the theme of protecting "treasure." It shows how the relationship between the main character Vick and the bears changes from enemies into unity, and follows the quest to win back lost treasure.

Boonie Bears is a Chinese animated cartoon series broadcast on Central China Television. Its main characters include logger Vick and two bears Briar and Bramble. The stories are set in a forest where the two bears try to stop Vick from cutting down trees.

The show was first shown in February 2012 and has become the most popular children's show in China.
