China's Box Office in National Day Holiday Hits 300 Mln Yuan
Share

China's box office during its seven-day National Day Holiday last week closed taking just over 300 million yuan (about $46.15 million). That's a slight increase from the 280 million yuan that it took last year.

During this year's golden week, it was two 'magic' movies that dominated the movie market. Its Love and Mural hit 150 million yuan and 120 million yuan, respectively. Meanwhile, other movies such as the Xinhai Revolution and Lee's Adventure did not perform so well.

Some insiders feel dissatisfied with the box office takings, with one movie analyst saying that, according to the current movie market capacity, the box office could easily hit more than 400 million yuan.
