When Love Comes, a drama about a teenage girl dealing with an unexpected pregnancy and her chaotic family life, claimed the best film trophy at the 47th Taiwan Golden Horse Awards on November 20.

The film, nominated in 14 categories, also garnered awards for best cinematography and art direction, becoming one of the biggest winners, along with The Fourth Portrait and Monga.

The Fourth Portrait director Mong-Hong Chung beat Chang Tso-Chi of When Love Comes to win the best director award. It was also named outstanding film of the year. Its actress Hao Lei won best supporting actress.

Monga won a best actor award for Ethan Ruan, outstanding filmmaker of the year award for executive producer Lee Lieh and the best sound effects award.

Mainland acting veteran Lv Liping was named best actress for her performance in the film City Monkey.
