Film stars braced against the cold rain to show up for the closing ceremony of the 13th Beijing Screenings on October 30.
A total of 62 films have been screened during the four-day-long event, including tribute film The Founding of a Republic, Golden Shell winner City of Life and Death and other commercial hits like Forever Enthralled and Wheat.
Beijing Screening serves as a showcase to collectively promote Chinese films to the oversea markets. Each year, productions attract the attention of overseas film distributors.
More than 100 overseas guests from the film industry took part in the 13th Beijing Screenings.
In 2008, China exported 45 films to 61 countries and regions, according to the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT).
