Mai Mai Ti's 2008, an Olympics promotional film about a children's football team in north China, premiered Thursday in Beijing.

Cast members including 12 Uygur ethnic children from Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region attended the premiere in the Great Hall of the People, portal website Sina.com reports.

The film has been showing in Xinjiang since April 29 to an audience of 16,000 people and won box office revenue of 150,000 yuan.

Starting May 9, the film will hit theaters across the country in line with the final stages of promotions for the Olympics.

Cast members will also meet with audiences from all over the country in Shanghai, Guangdong, Liaoning and Henan.
