Yu Zhengsheng to Preside over CPPCC Presidium Meetings

The preparatory meeting of the first session of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) approved the presidium of the session Saturday. Yu Zhengsheng is to preside over the presidium meetings.

A 323-member presidium for the annual session was approved at the preparatory meeting, and Du Qinglin was approved as secretary general of the CPPCC congress, the congress spokesman Lyu Xinhua told reporters at a press conference.

The presidium held its first meeting Saturday and 10 executive chairpersons, including Yu Zhengsheng, Du Qinglin, Ling Jihua, Han Qide, Pagbalha Geleg Namgyai, Tung Chee-hwa, Wan Gang, Lin Wenyi, Luo Fuhe and Ho Hau Wah, were approved for the presidium, Lyu said.
