China on Wednesday provided the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation humanitarian assistance to help the Syrian refugees in Jordan.

Chinese Ambassador to Amman Yue Xiaoyong commended the ties between China and Jordan, adding that China will extend more assistance to Syrian refugees in Jordan.

He added that the aid is in light of Jordan's appeal for assistance to be able to continue serving the Syrian refugees in the country.

China will provide Jordan with 240 caravans to be used in Jordan's Zaataru camp for Syrian refugees, especially in winter, the ambassador said.

The assistance included lamps, torches and large-sized tents.
