Daily necessities are basically available in the quake-hit areas in Yunnan Province, and instant noodles and bottled water are enough for seven days of use, the Ministry of Commerce said Sunday.

Multiple earthquakes struck Yiliang County and neighboring areas in southwest China's Yunnan Province on Friday, killing at least 81 people.

The ministry has initiated a level-three emergency response and established a headquarters to ensure regular supplies of daily necessities in the quake zone, according to a statement on the ministry's website.

The ministry will work to secure supplies of bottled water, convenience foods, tools for disaster relief and refined oil in the quake-hit regions, according to the statement.
