Hollywood director James Cameron paid a visit to the Beijing-based China International Publishing Group (CIPG) on the afternoon of August 8. CIPG President Zhou Mingwei talked with the Titanic and Avatar director on cooperation in journalism, publishing and digital technology.
Zhou congratulated Cameron on the launch of the Chinese branch of the Cameron-Pace Group (CPG). He also gave an informative briefing on CIPG and its subsidiary company, Foreign Language Press (FLP), and discussed prospective cooperation.
Cameron accepted the invitation to attend the annual Boao Forum in 2013. He hoped to push forward 3D technology development and applications in China and the rest of the world by cooperating with Chinese publishing houses including FLP.
On the same day, representatives of FLP, as one of CPG China's six strategic cooperation partners, attended the signing ceremony for the 3D series China, the Royal Capital Beijing at the National Museum of China. It will also cooperate with CPG China on 3D technology sharing in publishing, digital reading and marketing.
