Chinese President Hu Jintao continued his state visit to Austria Tuesday and toured a farm near the city of Salzburg.

Hu arrived in Salzburg Monday evening after participating in activities in the capital Vienna.

In the morning, Hu traveled by car to St. Gilgen, a city about 28 km from Salzburg, to visit the Urbanhof farm, which is run by Joseph Haas's family.

Hu and his wife, Liu Yongqing, were greeted by Haas's family members when they arrived.

President Hu was informed of the operations of the farm, which produces 610 tons of milk annually. Hu and his wife chatted with the Haas's family members before ending the tour.

Later in the day, Hu will visit the Mozart residence in Salzburg.

Salzburg, the fourth-largest city in Austria, is the capital city of the federal state of Salzburg. It was the birthplace of 18th-century composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Mozart, known throughout the world of music, produced more than 600 works by the time of his death, including symphonies, operas, concertos and quartets. He is one of the most enduringly popular classical composers.

Hu flew on Monday evening from Vienna, where he had talks and meetings with his Austrian counterpart Heinz Fischer, Chancellor Werner Faymann and other Austrian leaders earlier in the day on strengthening bilateral ties.

Hu and Fischer witnessed the signing of a host of cooperation documents by representatives of the two sides, covering economics and trade, environmental protection, water conservancy, education and culture.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Austria.

Over the past 40 years, the China-Austria relations have developed continuously with frequent exchanges of high-level visits, increases in bilateral trade, and more visitors traveling to each other's countries.

Following his trip to Austria, Hu will fly to France to attend the summit of the Group of Twenty (G20), slated for November 3-4 in Cannes.
