The National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, began the closing meeting of its annual session Monday morning.

Wu Bangguo, chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, presided over the closing meeting.

Chinese President Hu Jintao and other senior leaders were present at the meeting.
