China, DR Congo Vow to Strengthen Bilateral Relations
Share

China and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) on Tuesday vowed to enhance their bilateral relationship as the visiting Chinese Vice Premier Hui Liangyu met with Adolphe Muzito, prime minister of the DR Congo.

Hui said he hopes the time-tested relationship between the two countries can be further enhanced.

He said China hopes to further cooperate with DR Congo in resources development and infrastructure construction and the two countries could deepen their ties in trade.

He also proposed to further enhance mutual political trust with DR Congo by increasing the high-level contacts between them and give a push to their cooperation in agriculture, forestry and hydraulic power exploitation.

Muzito, on his part, said his country is looking forward to strengthening cooperation with China.

He said he expects China could further facilitate the knowledge and technology transfer to DR Congo to ensure the country's sustainable development.

DR Congo is the third leg of Hui's five-African country tour which has taken him to Mauritius and Zambia and will also take him to Cameroon and Senegal.
