China Tests Missile Interception
China successfully conducted a test on ground-based midcourse missile interception technology within its territory
Share

China successfully conducted a test on ground-based midcourse missile interception technology within its territory on Monday, and also refuted reports about the development of its air carriers.

Xinhua News Agency reported the missile interception test achieved the expected objective and noted that the test is defensive in nature and not targeted at any country.

A China News Service report also quoted an article from the Web site of China's Defense Ministry as saying reports that China's two aircraft carrier fleets will take shape in two years are groundless and irresponsible.
