Chinese President Hu Jintao will attend the ceremony to mark the 10th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland, which falls on December 20, said the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee General Office on Wednesday.

Hu, also general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, will stay in Macao on December 19-20, according to a statement issued by the office.

The ceremony will also see the inauguration of the new Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) government.
