The Chinese people have always cherished the traditional friendship with the African people and will always see them as all-weather friends whom can be fully trusted and counted on, said Chinese President Hu Jintao.

Hu made these remarks in his recent message congratulating the re-launch of the ChinAfrica monthly magazine and its special issue on the Fourth Ministerial Meeting of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, to be held November 8-9 in Egypt.

Hu hopes that ChinaAfrica will contribute to the enhancement of the traditional friendship, exchanges, unity, cooperation, and common development between China and African countries and to the promotion of the new type of China-Africa strategic partnership.

ChinAfrica, published by Beijing Review of the China International Publishing Group, is China's only monthly magazine featuring news, views and analysis, that targets an African audience.

The magazine is set to introduce a real China to African readers in a timely and objective manner, and report on bilateral relations, economic and trade cooperation, and cultural and people-to-people exchanges between China and African countries.

The newly upgraded English Edition of the magazine will be launched on November 1.
