China will continue to firmly support the unremitting efforts of the Pakistani government and people to achieve national stability, Chinese Foreign Ministry said Thursday.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu made the remarks in response to a question relating to Pakistan's Peshawar blast at a regular news briefing.
China is shocked by the terrorist explosion and the massive number of people killed in Peshawar, he said.
China denounces the bomb blast, expresses profound grief over the deceased and extends sympathy to the bereaved and wounded, Ma said.
As a friendly neighbor and all-weather friend, China will continue to firmly support the unremitting efforts of the Pakistani government and people to achieve national stability, Ma said.
A huge car bomb explosion took place in a crowded market in northwest Pakistan's city of Peshawar on Wednesday. The death toll has mounted to 106 with over 150 injured while rescue sources say that more people could still be buried under the debris.
