The Beijing flagship branch of the Shanghai World Expo licensed-product store opens in Beijing on July 22 (CFP)

The Beijing flagship branch of the Shanghai World Expo licensed-product store opened Wednesday on the Chinese capital's Wangfujing pedestrian street, the website Qianlong.com reported.

The former site of the Beijing Olympics flagship store in the Wangfujing Gongmei Emporium is the only World Expo licensed-product outlet in Beijing so far. It aims to promote the World Expo's concepts and brand image.

The store covers more than 100 square meters and will sell more than 1,000 products such as porcelain, plush toys and Shanghai World Expo emblems. It also will sell models of the Expo's China pavilion. Product prices range from 12 yuan to more than 10,000 yuan ($1.75-$1,464).

The Shanghai World Expo will run from May 1 to October 31, 2010.

The five-story Wangfujing Gongmei Emporium in downtown Beijing is famed for its quality artwork and handicrafts.
